Like a couple of other reviewers I had read the original Five Love Languages. It is insightful and has helped me and my wife communicate much more effectively. If you haven't read that, then by all means buy this book. Unfortunately this book has hardly been changed from its original edition and I believe that there should be some sort of disclaimer. Luckily Amazon accepted the return (I purchased the Kindle edition) as I reported this to them within a day of purchase.

Sometimes things don't go as you'd like them to. When I ordered this book I suggested to my paramour that we make time to read it together so that we can both understand what it is that we are missing in our relationship. So, we did and we read four chapters that night and we both were amazed by the many coincidences that were written in the book.
I found the book very helpful and useful where it gave me some pretty good in-sight as to what I was missing as well as understand the signs of an empty tank.
The down side is that I am no longer with my paramour due to her stating that I should have known her love languages and that if I need a book for guidance, then I should look for someone else who would get more out of it than her. the following day I got a text that read she is deleting my contact information and is no-longer interested in being in a relationship.
I'm giving up on love and taking up sky diving.

This is the book for you.
I read this a few years back and it revolutionized the way I looked at how different people acted and why they did the things they do. It was so frustrating to me that people didn't understand me and even more frustrating that I didn't understand others.
But after reading this book, it all made sense.
My situation was the one he diagnosed in the book - not knowing the differnce between the Love Language I speak and the one that others speak. I naturally thought that everyone spoke my language. Boy, was I wrong. This book started helping me show others how I care for them in their own language, and it has made things SO much better.

If you've already read "The Five Love Languages," don't waste your money since it's the exact same book with minor changes in print style to make it more "masculine." There are a few minor additions at the end of each chapter, focusing his recommendations more to the men's point of view. However, billing this as a separate edition is nothing more than false advertisement.
